Mijireh – Recursive Loop

This used to work with EE4. Now I am getting this error:

The following errors have occurred:
Errors occurred communicating with Mijireh: .
EED_Single_Page_Checkout – _process_finalize_registration – 1729
A recursive loop was detected and the registration process was halted.
EED_Single_Page_Checkout – go_to_next_step – 1800

Any ideas?

Wordpress 3.9.2
Event Espresso 4.3.1.p

Thanks

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Can you let me know at what point that this error occurs? Is it after the return from the Mijireh website?

It is before the Mijireh page. It used to work – so not sure if it is a setting that changed? You can play with it here: tickets.handbid.com (Mijireh is in test mode, so that part may error out if I am not logged in…)

Hi, was this an automatic upgrade to Event Espresso 4.3.1 or did you manually update through SFTP or FTP?

I deleted EE3 and manually downloaded and installed EE 4 via Install Module / Upload Zip file

Hi Jeff,

Which version of Event Espresso were you using when this used to work? Please note that EE3 does not have Mijireh, so it would have had to have been EE4.2.x or 4.3.0.

Same version- it worked for a day and then stopped working. I didn’t upgrade anything – but I did install the EE 4 calendar module

Could that be it?

I don’t think so, but you could certainly try deactivating the calendar. If you installed any other WP plugins around the time it stopped working, it may help to try deactivating those.

I deleted the calendar and the mail chimp plugins. It didn’t seem to make a difference – it has the same recursive loop error

One thing to that could be a factor are the thank-you pages that were set up for your site. I checked and it looks like there 2 pages were set up. The original (thank-you) has a 301 redirect to thank-you-2.

If this is what’s causing the issue this can be fixed by setting up a new Thank You page. You do this by: 1) Create a new page (name it anything other than Thank You), 2) place the [ESPRESSO_THANK_YOU] shortcode on it, 3) then go to Event Espresso > General Settings > Critical Pages and set the Thank You page setting to point to this new page, then 4) Save settings.

That may have been causing it. Before I got back to the team to investigate, they had dumped Mijireh and we implemented PayPal Pro – which works great 😉

Thanks for your help on this.
