Forgive my ignorance, but I am a beginner and downloaded and installed EE4 as I recall reading the “light” version was free. Is that correct? Thanks, Peter |
Hi Peter, Yes it is. |

Thanks, Josh! I realize this is a naive Q: For VERY basic needs (online registration and ticket sales) do you recommend I use EE3 or EE4? Great plugins!!! Thanks, Peter |
EE4 is recommended in most cases, unless you need a feature that’s included in EE3, but not included in EE4. There’s a feature comparison chart over here: |

Fantastic, and just a minor final Q: After installing EE4 successfully, and completing the setup, I don’t see the form on the “event page”. I thought it is because the “shortcode” is missing on that page. When pasting the shortcode into it, it appears in the gui of the page. Can you guide towards fixing this issue? Thanks, Peter Reck |
Hi Peter, There shouldn’t be a form on the event page in EE4. Instead, there should be a ticket selector. Once a ticket is selected, the form appears on the next page. No additional shortcodes are needed. |

THANK YOU, Josh……………..is there an easy fix if that Ticket Selector isn’t showing up? – if there isn’t, shall I simply create a “new event” and see if a ticket selector is showing up on the event page? THANKS again! Peter |
Hi Peter, The ticket selector should appear on its own. Does it appear when another theme is running? — |
|
Hi Peter, Here’s a link to your event post: http://www.moringamiraculous.com/?espresso_events=artsjam-2 You’ll see that the ticket selector is there, but the ticket sale start date is set to go on sale Nov 1. If you want it to allow ticket sales now, you will need to change the go on sale date. |
