Hi – I created a new event. The event would not show up and the Events page said there was no event. Here’s what I did:
– First realized that the Preview button above submit only appeared for a brief moment when I hit Update, but would then disappear.
– The View Event button under the event title pops me to the homepage.
– I did realize I used to have a calendar that used Events as its event page. I deactivated it, deleted Events totally and recreated it.
– The Events page went from saying there were no events to being blank. Not sure if this was due to the old calendar plugin or not.
– Tried the Settings > Permalinks from this page (https://eventespresso.com/topic/new-events-not-being-displayed/page/10/) but it made no difference.
– When I search for the event (2015 gala) it does show up at the top of the search, but when I click on link it just takes me to the site homepage (http://cope24.com/)
I’m out of ideas. Thanks!

Hi Elaine, thanks for getting a head start on troubleshooting.
Is your pretty permalinks option in your WP dashboard set to postname?
Could you publish the event if its not already published via the event editor and share a link here?
The link should be similar to this:
example.com/events/my-new-event/
I can see that your events listing page is empty but I’d like to see a single event page.

Yup, it was set to postname. So I switched it to another option, saved and set it back. That seems to have done the trick!

Thanks. It sounds like refreshing your permalinks helped with the issue.
