Hi, could you try logging into your WP-admin and going to Messages –> Settings?

Then drag each message type over to the right side of the page.

Then reactivate each of them by moving them back to the left side of the page.

From here, try resending an registration again and let us know if it works.

Lorenzo, Thank you for the reply.

No. Unfortunately, that did not work.

Now, I’m getting “EED_Messages – process_resend – 570” instead of 571 if that makes a difference.

Can you go to Event Espresso -> Messages.

Look within the list of messages and check you have a ‘Registration Approved’ and Registration Pending Payment’ message type. It should look something like this – http://take.ms/p9mdt

If not you may need to completely disable the messages, then re-enable them. You can do this in on the same settings page as above. Switch the toggle for the messages off, wait a few seconds, then switch it back on again – http://take.ms/QfYbE

If that still doesn’t work can you send us temporary log in details using this form – https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

Please also include details of the steps to reproduce.

I have exact same problem. Also tried you’re solution by completely disable the messages, then re-enable them. Also tried to switch the toggle for the messages off, wait a few seconds, then switch it back on again..

Tom,

When you go to edit the event, are the message types listed in the Notifications meta box?

Hi Tom, Thank you for the reply.

Yes, they are listed at the bottom of the page with two tabs – Email and HTML.

Hi,

Can you send temporary log in details using this form:

https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

So I take a look and troubleshoot this further.

Have you altered the message templates at all?

Per Lorenzo’s email, I’ll test wpMandrill to see if that makes a difference and provide an update.

Hi Tony,

I submitted my login info as requested.

To answer your earlier question, I created custom templates using the “Custom” button, but I don’t believe I modified the Global templates.

Also, as an update, I installed wpMandrill today per Lorenzo’s recommendation. I’m able to resend registrations through Mandrill, but not through EE using the “Resend Registration” button.

I have found the cause of this an created a ticket for our developers to investigate, this happens when you disable the ‘Registrant’ context and use only the ‘Primary Registrant’ context on a message type.

This is the default setup for the Registration Approved message type – http://take.ms/Xn3SS

This is your setup for the Registration Approved message type – http://take.ms/a3deE

Which should also work, but currently does not when re-sending the messages.

Currently, in order for the ‘resend’ button to work the Registrant context will need to be re-enabled (you will likely want to disable the Primary Registrant context again)

Thanks Tony.

I originally set it up that way because the Primary Registrant was getting multiple emails. However, looking back, I can’t recall if the multiple emails that the Primary Registrant was receiving were the “Payment Received” email and the “Registration Approved” email OR two “Registration Approved” emails – one as the Primary Registrant and also one as a Registrant.

If I re-enable the Registrant email, will the Primary Registrant get two emails (one as the Primary Registrant and also one as a Registrant) or just one email as the Primary Registrant?

By default the Registration Approved message type only has the Registrant context active.

The Primary Registrant context can be used if you want the Primary Registratn to have different information from standard registrants (when selecting multiple tickets) if both are active the Primary Registrant will receive both contexts.

Do you require additional information for additional registrants or just use the Primary Registrant for all?

Generally, we just send something to the Primary Registrant. What typically happens with our events is that the Primary Registrant will register multiple people and use their email address (and sometimes their name) for all the registrations.

If we only sent the “Registrant” email to the Primary Registrant, I think some people might be confused that they paid to register multiple people, but the only see themselves listed in the “Registrant” confirmation.

Also, as a feature request, it would be nice if you could require a unique name for multiple registrations, or not have the name field auto populate when they check “Use the Same Information for All Attendees.”

Please let me know if there is a different workflow or another way that the system was designed to be used that addresses these issues that I’m missing.

Hi, you could hide the attendee copy toggle by using some CSS:

#spco-copy-attendee-dv {display:none;}

It can be added via your child theme’s stylesheet or a plugin like Reaktiv CSS Builder or My Custom CSS.
