Allow user name or password log in for EE user integration

How can i edit the code on EE user integration to allow email or user name log in.

Some users have their name as a user name some their email. How do I allow users to use either when they go to log in when registering for an event? Or change the URL the are taken to when they go to an event that requires loging in to book.

Hi Jake,

The EE4 User Integration add-on should already allow you to log in with whichever is set as the users username.

However it will only use the username field, so if the user is loggin into an account that has the user name ‘Tony Warwick’ but is trying to use the email address linked to that account, that won’t work.

Do you see an error message when you attempt to log in currently?
