Accordian template showing all the event info and not just the categories. When you pull the site up all of the category and the event info are showing automatically and not upon a click.

I am using EE3.1.36.6P, on WP4, and the latest accordian addon.

When I go to the page I see the category and all of the events. It’s like the categories have all been clicked as soon as I pull the page up.

Hi, the categories are appearing:

Could you let us know the browser that you are using?

I am have been testing it on chrome, firefox, and safari… Here is a screen shot of what I have been seeing: file:///Users/nybarber/Desktop/Screen%20Shot%202014-11-23%20at%2011.03.22%20PM.png

Do you think it is a caching issue? I am using the X theme from themeco…

It either allows me to click the category and the event information will go back into accordion mode or it will look like the screen shot above… It’s happening across multiple devices as well.

Hi,

I also see the same result as Lorenzo.

The linked you have provided is a relative link for your browser on your own machine, you will need to host the image and add the link here, or using a service such as Monosnap.

Also, the Accordion uses JavaScript to show/hide each category, your page is throwing a JS error on line 432 of that page – http://take.ms/LzYZV

I’m not sure where that is from, but seems to be doing something with #wpadminbar which may explain why we are not seeing the problem.

Hi,

Sorry that screenshot cannot be viewed as it is linking to your computer not an online repository.

I checked the site in Chrome and Firefox and it looked fine.

The only reason I can see for the content all being shown is if there is a jQuery/JavaScript error, stopping the accordion jQuery from firing. Now the site does have one error, but it doesn’t seem to be affecting the accordion right now.

It could be a caching issue, as in it cached when an error affected the accordion.

Have you tried emptying the browser cache and the site cache (if using a cache plugin)?

This is what I have seen: http://take.ms/M5tqB … I am glad you are not seeing it. I had the cache on our server cleared and I cleared it for my computer using disk doctor…

As for the java script error, not sure how to fix that… (I am new to developing as you may be able to tell)… Do I remove that plugin, or remove that line?

Your prompt responses are highly appreciated… Just a note the only thing stopping me from upgrading to EE4 is Accordion template not being compatible…

Hi,

Could you temporarily deactivate all plugins and reactivate Event Espresso & add-ons and then retest?

If the issue goes away, then try restoring a few plugins at a time and test again. Continue this until your site has been restored.

I understand a plugin conflict, but will this correct my the JS error?

Hi,

We are currently trying to pinpoint the source of the conflict based on what we can see on our end.

If it still doesn’t work even when Event Espresso is the only plugin running, then the issue may be coming from elsewhere.
