Is a WordPress website required?
Event Espresso is a plugin for WordPress so you’ll need a website running WordPress to use Event Espresso. If you don’t currently have a website, then check out Event Smart where you can use event registration software with Sage Pay to receive event registrations from your attendees.

How can I set up a recurring payment, payment plan, or a subscription through Sage Pay?
Recurring payments, payment plans, or subscriptions are not currently supported in the Sage Pay. When an attendee pays for their event registrations with Sage Pay, they pay up front so, you receive your funds right away.

When I refund a payment, does it also refund through Sage Pay?
Refunds in Event Espresso 4 are currently a two-step process. First, apply the refund through the transaction details screen of Event Espresso in your WP-admin (WP dashboard). Then log in to your merchant account and process the refund.

Is an SSL certificate needed for Sage Pay?
A dedicated SSL certificate is recommended if you are accepting payments on your website.

Do I need to be PCI compliant?
Compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) is required if you are processing, storing, or transmitting credit card data. Event Espresso recommends using a dedicated SSL certificate on your website.
